How can I register?
For any activity on the website (purchase of a membership, question to the customer service …), a registration is required first. The registration is free and doesn't oblige you to any purchases.
How can I suscribe to Newsletter? You have to be registered to the site in order to receive the newsletter. If you haven't chosen to receive the newsletter while registering, you can go to your “Personal details” and click on “susbribe” in the Newsletter box. When you do so, we will keep you updated on all new releases.
Once I've registered, what do I have to do to receive my DVDs?
The second step you have to take is the purchase of a membership, by clicking on the « prices and formulas» button, and then choosing the membership that suits you the best. You will then have to choose your payment method (credit card or direct debit) and enter your discount code if you benefit from a special promotional action. If you choose to pay by credit card, you will be guided to the secured page where you can enter the information relative to your credit card. If you choose the direct debit, you will have to go to your bank and ask them to activate a direct debit for: "Home Entertainment Services S.A.".
Our reference for the direct debit is: 00 478 510 502 (or 0 478 510 502 or 000 478 510 502 depending on the bank). If the bank asks you for a client number, please tell them that we do not require one. Once this is done, please give us the number of your direct debit (12 digits) so that we can activate your account.
When can I start to rent? As soon as we have received your first payment, this will be immediately if you chose to pay by credit card, or after a few days if you chose a direct debit. When we receive your payment, we will send you your first DVDs, if you have put DVDs in your wishlist.
How can I select my DVDs? There are several ways to choose your DVDs:
1. Quick search (above on the left): type the first letters of a title, actor, or director in the quick search gap and choose between the hits.
2. Use the menu and browse through the new releases, the different themes and genres. The last DVDs that we've added to our catalogue will always be proposed to you first..
To select a title, all you need to do is click on the title or the correspondant picture. You will then have access to the details of the title (summary, details of versions, audio etc.) and only need to click on “add to wishlist”.
How long can I keep my DVDs? You can keep your DVDs as long as you want. You will never receive a late fee. When we receive your 2 DVDs back, we immediately send you the 2 next ones in your list.
How many DVDs can I have at home at the same time ? The number of DVDs that you can dispose of at the same time is determined by your membership. With the memberships «2 DVDs», «4 DVDs», «6 DVDs» and « 8 DVDs» you will receive 2 DVDs at once; with the memberships «10 DVDs», «12 DVDs», «14 DVDs», «16 DVDs» and «18 DVDs», you will receive 4 DVD at once, this means that you will get 2 envelopes with 2 DVDs.
Which DVDs will I receive? Our system will first try to select a title of your high priority list. If one of these titles is available, the system will attribute and send this DVD to you.
However, if all the copies of this title are already hired, the same process will be executed with the titles of your second category untill an available title is found.
Is renting through DVDPost secure? You can rent your DVDs securely with DVDPost and we assure you the security of all your purchases. DVDPost use the best technology available on the market to secure your online transactions. All your data, including name, address and credit card number are encrypted thanks to professional software (SSL), in order to ensure the best protection. This system prevents others from reading your information that is transferred to our site. To assure a maximum security of your credit card information, we save it on a different server as soon as we receive it.
How long does it take to get my DVDs? All our DVDs are sent by prior post so you will receive them within 24 hours.
In what kind of package do I receive my DVDs? Every DVD is put in a protective case to avoid damage during the sendings. The envelopes that we use are meant for sending and returning. Please read the instructions on the envelope carefully so that you use it correctly.
Do I have to stand in line in the post office to receive my movies? No, all our DVDs are sent in standard envelopes. This way, they are delivered to your door. If you use the return envelope you don't have to go to the post to return your movies either, because you can put them in an official mailbox. You can also put it in the mail at your work.
Once I've watched my movies, how do I return them? All our DVDs are delivered in envelopes that are meant for sending and returning. To return your 2 DVDs, you use the same envelope and make sure you remove the label wih your name and address from the envelope. Underneath this you will find our address and the mention “prepayed”. You can drop the DVD in any red letterbox of the Post.
Do I have to send all my DVDs back at the same time? For the memberships with 2 DVDs in rotation, this is indeed the case. If you receive an envelope with 2 DVDs, you return the 2 DVDs in the same envelope when you have watched them. When we receive these 2 titles, the 2 next ones can be sent to you. For the memberships that allow you to dispose of 4 DVDs at the same time, this means e envelopes with 2 DVDs, it is possible to return 1 envelope before the other. When we receive 2 DVDs, we immediately send you the 2 next ones.
Is the postage included in the prices? Yes, all postage cost are included in our prices, independently of the number of DVDs you rent. You will only pay the price of your subscription but never the delivery costs, nore fines for late returning..
Can I follow the sendings through internet? You can follow the state of your delivery at all times, by clicking on the link that is available in the e-mail announcing the sending of the DVD, or by going in "My wishlist". Please note that the shipment cannot be followed between our offices and your home, since the post does not offer this type of service.
Can I pick-up and return my rentals personally? Yes, you can. You can do this at our offices located at: to return your rentals you must come Mondays or Wednesdays between 2PM and 3PM, for picking them up in person you must come either Mondays or Wednesdays between 9AM and 10AM. You need to send us a written notification when activating your subscription, only then will this option be valid. This will also allow us to ensure your rentals are ready for pick-up. We will charge a handling fee for this option, which will be equal to postage.
What is the best way to manage my wishlist? In order to optimise your membership, we advise you to maintain a list of about 50 titles for the regular DVDs and about 20 to 30 for the adult titles. Just like in a video store, you need to build up a certain range of choice.
Can I choose any DVD I want? Yes, you can choose from our entire catalogue as soon as you have registered on our website, and this whichever the membership you choose. You can select as many titles as you wish, including new titles and future releases (which will be sent to you, once the title has been released and is available on DVD). We would like to point out to you that all DVDs have the format “zone 2”.
How can I add or delete a DVD from my list and classify them by priority? Si vous souhaitez sélectionner un DVD, vous cliquez tout simplement sur le bouton "Ajouter". Vous l'ajoutez ainsi automatiquement à votre "liste de DVD". Pour accorder un ordre de préférence à vos DVD ou ôter un DVD de la liste, allez dans "Ma liste". Vous pouvez indiquer un niveau d'importance élevé, moyen ou bas pour chaque titre. Vous pouvez aussi sélectionner le bouton de droite afin d'en supprimer de votre liste. Dans les deux cas, n'oubliez pas de cliquer sur «Mettre votre liste de DVD à jour» pour que vos choix soient enregistrés.
I don't immediately receive the titles that are high up in my list, how come?
Certain titles demand more waiting time than others, because they're new or simply very popular. Our system will first try to select a title of your high priority list. If one of these titles is available, the system will attribute and send this DVD to you.
However, if all the copies of this title are already hired, the same process will be executed with the titles of your second category untill an available title is found.
I've put titles of a serie in my wishlist, and I don't receive them, how come? As we send the seisons in their chronological order, (DVD1 before DVD2, before DVD3,...), we cannot send you the following seisons if the first one isn't available, even when the others are available.
I haven't received any movies for a few days. What should I do? In this case it is important to check the following details:
- That your list contains enough titles (at least 50 in the regular list and 30 in the adult list);
- That the classical/adult ratio is coherent. If you have chose to receive classical movies, your classical list should contain at least 50 titles, and if you have chosen to receive adult DVDs your adult wishlist should contain at least 20 to 30 titles.
If you wish to change the classical/adult ratio, go to « my membership » where you will have the opportunity to do so..
Can I rent regular and adult DVDs with the same membership? Yes, you can rent regular and adult DVDs with one membership.
The two list are seperately managed to protect minors.
The ratio between the two depends on your membership.
For example, when you have a membership for 2, 4, 6 or 8 DVDs a month, you can ask for 0, 1 or 2 adult DVDs on the 2 your membership offers you at the same time, and for the memberships with 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 DVDs a month, you can ask for 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 adult DVDs on the 4 DVDs that you get at once.
When we receive a regular DVD from you, we will send you the next title of your regular list. The same goes for adult movies. Once you've bought a membership and created your 2 lists, you can refine this ratio in the “Welcome” box.
What is the duration of my membership? The memberships are not limited in time. Memberships are automatically renewed and charged for every month. You can stop your membership at any time, without any additional costs, through “my membership”. Your membership will be stopped immediately after your request, and you will have 1 week to send us the DVDs back that are still in your possession.
If you have requested an upgrade during this month or if you have received a promotion that was linked to a minimum of x monts, you can't cancel your membership before the next renewal in the first case and before the end of the period in the second case.
How can I change my membership formula? "Click here"
When does the changement of my formula take effect? The changement of the formula takes effect starting from the next renewal, in case of an upgrade as well as a downgrade.
How can I suspend or cancel my membership? You can cancel your membership by calling 0800.95.990 from monday to friday, between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. The stop is immediate. Carefully read the conditions in "Personal details".
I'm going on holiday, can I suspend my membership? It's possible to temporarily « freeze » your membership for 1 to 3 weeks and to postpone this period. You can do this up to 3 times a year.
To do so, go to your « profile » and click on « suspend ». You choose the number of weeks you want to interrupt and you confirm. The interruption will take place immediately and the membership will automatically be reactivated after the interruption. This means that the next renewal will be postponed for the number of weeks you have interrupted your membership. You just have to return your DVDs before you leave, so that the DVDs aren't taken out of rotation for too long. Your wishlist will be saved, even when you cancel your membership.
How does the payment work? It's very easy. You will be charged at the beginning of every monthly period for the amount of your membership. This will happen automatically unless you cancel your membership.
When will I be charged? You will be charged when your membership is renewed.
Do I have to do something to pay for the following months?
Which payment modes are accepted? We only accept direct debits and credit card as your payment mode.
Standing orders and bank transfers are not accepted.

What do I have to do when I receive a scratched or damaged DVD? A category is available for this purpose on our online customer service. You can mention it through this category, and an extra DVD will automatically be added to your account. An electronic alarm will be placed on this DVD in order to block it off at the reception, and repair it with the necessary products, if it is repairable.
I've lost a DVD. What should I do? If you have lost a DVD, please mention it to our customer service, through the right category, so that we can remove it from your account and consider it as lost..

How come some titles aren't available in french or dutch at the same time? DVDs are not released in French and Dutch version at the same time. We have a larger choice than most of the classical videostores, and approximately half of the DVDs are available in a French version, and the other half in the Dutch version.
